When I lived there, in the early 1980s, the processing center was surrounded by rice paddies and thickly wooded hills. Later the trees would be cut down. The cloud formations during the rainy season were fantastic as were the views of the surrounding hills. After the camp, the scentery in the rest of the Philippines was a disappointment. I often went camping just past the first peak on the left. The jungle was very hospitable. |
