The Filipino woman in the middle, Suzie, lived in my dormitory and asked me to take this picture of her Vietnamese students. She later married an American teacher and thus made her escape. The Philippine teacher on the left had relatives in the US who helped him find a way out of the Philippines.

Once there was a conference in the US that camp administrators decided to send the "best and the brightest" of the Filipino staff too. After the conference the Filipino staff disappeared. They had made their escape.
